Tasks

Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosageDispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionalsOrder and maintain stock of pharmaceutical suppliesAdvise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medicationCheck prescriptions for proper dosageCompound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredientsHire and train staffMaintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugsManage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staffEvaluate labelling, packaging and advertising of drug productsPromote pharmaceutical products to health professionalsLeading/instructing individuals
