Supporting the Department of National Defence, we have immediate opportunities for up to three clinical instructors for Medical Technicians.
This role will be full-time for one year, with the option to renew for future years at our client's discretion. The roles will be based in the Connaught Ranges in Ottawa, Ontario. Candidates must be available between Monday and Saturday, between 7 am and 4 pm.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Instruct Clinical Specialty programs in fields such as: emergency response, operational medicine, care under fire, nursing, prolonged casualty care, and holding care.
- Develop course materials (i.e., job aids, presentations, scenarios, etc.) to facilitate instruction and learning transfer
- Prepare the classroom, equipment, job aids and learning tools for instructions.
- Set up / break down of training requirements, such as dismantling equipment, classrooms, etc.
- Provide Counsel to students who are experiencing academic difficulties.
- Assess students in accordance with CFITES volume 7.
- Advise on students' performance during Progress Review Boards.
- Maintain student files, including feedback notes.
- Advise on the quality and efficiency of the instruction in accordance with CFITES volume 11, to include:
- Completing course feedback questionnaires and survey; and
- Recommending changes to the content and design of the T&E program.
- Attend meetings as requested.
The successful candidates must have
- A Primary Leadership Qualification from the Canadian Armed Forces
- At least 20 days of instruction (within the last five years) in a Health Services / Medical Technician
environment (or higher). - A Military Personnel Records Resume will be requested as part of the screening process.
