Pool Party Instructor 1
Casual- Competition #26026CThe North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission is looking for Child Program Instructors to lead pool birthday parties. Energetic, mature, responsible leaders able to prepare and lead a wide variety of age appropriate activities for preschool and school age children are encouraged to apply.
Duties include setting up the party area, leading games and clean-up following the party. Pool parties include leading activities in the pool, safely in and around the pool and making the birthday child feel special.
Applicants should be comfortable working with young children, parents, other leaders, volunteers, and facility staff. The candidate must work courteously and effectively with the public while providing quality and safe parties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSCandidates must have current Bronze Cross, Emergency Child Care First Aid or Standard First Aid and have acquired HIGH 5 training within 3 months of hiring. Other Lifeguard certificates will be an asset (NLS, LSI, AWSI, WSI, CPR-C and/or ICS).
All employees should be prepared to work at any NVRC location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment. Varied hours depending on birthday party bookings. Mostly weeknights and weekends.
HOURLY RATE: The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from $20.25 - $22.39 per hour based on training and experience.
