The Position - A Professional Opportunity to Join a Dynamic Team
We are looking for an experienced individual to assist the Salmon Arm RCMP Detachment as a Detachment Services Supervisor. The successful candidate is responsible for managing day-to-day operations in the administrative detachment staff. The successful candidate will work with Department officials and other members of staff to provide professional expertise, advice and assistance as required and act as the intermediary between the RCMP Detachment and the City. They will be responsible for planning, directing and supervising the work of the Detachment Clerks and Court Liaisons. It is critical to the success of this role that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to solve problems.
The ideal candidate will be able to qualify for and maintain the required RCMP Enhanced Level Security Clearance. The RCMP Security Clearance is mandatory for the position and failure on the part of the candidate to satisfy this requirement will require the removal of that applicant from the position. The successful candidate will have experience with working in a police environment including some supervisory experience or a combination of training and experience.
This position is a permanent full-time position and offers a starting salary of $80,370 per year. The successful candidate will be eligible for the City’s Health and Wellness Benefits and City matching pension plan.
