Linear BIM Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Linear BIM Lead with a passion for BIM technologies. The ideal candidate will have a University Degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering, and 6-10 years of experience. This role requires superior knowledge of ProjectWise, ACC, Civil 3D, and other BIM support tools, as well as a working experience with ISO BIM standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure drawing delivery meets CAD/BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work, and project BIM Execution Plan requirements.
- Manage team leaders and senior CAD/BIM staff members from various offices and disciplines.
- Support National and Regional BIM standards.
- Provide guidance in design automation and production through technology.
- Promote BIM technologies and practices to enhance user engagement.
- Assist and advise the BIM Team in system and software upgrades.
- Develop cutting-edge tools to support efficient workflows within the linear BIM team.
- Work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams across different business units in a matrix organization with little to no supervision.
Essential Skills
- 6-10 years of experience with BIM modeling.
- Experience with rail and transit projects.
- Ability to script in Dynamo/Python programming.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and report writing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with supporting National and Regional BIM standards.
- Established understanding of BIM quality assurance guidelines and standards.
- Comfortable managing team leaders and senior CAD/BIM staff.
- Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.
Work Environment
This role is based in the Toronto office, with a requirement to be onsite three times a week. However, there is flexibility on office location for top candidates who meet all required skills.
