Dynamic Machine Corporation’s Fluid Power division, Manitoba’s premier hydraulic shop, is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Cylinder Technician to join their specialized team in Winnipeg, MB. This hands-on role involves inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling hydraulic cylinders for custom-engineered, industrial, and mobile equipment applications. Working primarily in-shop with occasional field service, you will collaborate with experienced tradespeople in a well-equipped environment that values precision and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders to OEM specifications — including seals, rods, barrels, glands, and related components
- Measure parts accurately using calipers, micrometers, and precision tools to maintain proper clearances and tolerances
- Assemble cylinders following blueprints, schematics, or written instructions
- Identify and source worn or damaged parts from inventory or suppliers
- Perform minor welding or support welding repairs on cylinder components
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety procedures
- Collaborate effectively within a small specialized team to maintain workflow
- Provide occasional field service at customer sites
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hydraulic repair
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools
- Team-oriented with strong safety compliance
- Effective problem-solving skills
