Contribute to a growing, multidisciplinary transportation team that is shaping how Kelowna moves. As a Traffic Technician with the Infrastructure Division, you’ll work on real, city‑building transportation projects including traffic operations and safety reviews, traffic calming, and the planning and delivery of multimodal capital improvements. As one of Canada’s fastest‑growing regions, keeping our community moving requires developing projects using multimodal approaches within complex and constrained urban environments.
The City seeks an individual with a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Transportation Engineering, or a related field to work collaboratively with the public, other City departments, consultants, developers and external agencies to make our transportation network safer and more efficient. Professional Technologist certification (AScT) is preferred. Experience with traffic projections, capacity analysis, traffic control operations and design, traffic calming, active transportation and transit accommodation, and traffic safety are considered assets. As a strong communicator, team builder, and problem-solver you will deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
