Senior Data Governance Consultant to support Environment and Protected Areas ministry in developing operational data management system that includes governance, identification of new data from policy/legislation updates, development of KPI and quality assurance/control processes for the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS) Program. This role is deliberately not permanent and does not represent an ongoing operational function.
Regulatory Assurance Division requires a consultant with specialization in data management to support the development and implementation of program infrastructure related to the data created by operations and ensure it is identified, captured and managed to support operations and planning. As EPA transitions to a data-driven regulatory assurance system, data management, quality assurance and control programs and processes are required to maintain the data received and consumed in support of regulatory activities.
Key Deliverables / Outcomes
- An operational data governance framework aligned to EPA regulatory activities
- Defined processes for identifying and onboarding new data resulting from policy or legislative change
- A set of regulatory KPIs to support assurance, reporting, and planning
- Data quality assurance and control processes
- Documentation and transition materials to enable uptake by existing EPA staff
