This position requires the flexibility to work full-time in Newmarket, Ontario with regular travel to our dealership locations across Ontario (i.e., Aurora, Richmond Hill, Brampton, London).
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to travel from Newmarket, Ontario to other Ontario dealership locations
· Local and corporate banking, as required;
· Participate in and support local and corporate training and meetings, as required;
· Credit card management;
· Review bank deposits, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable tasks;
· Download monthly bank statements administration for Ontario operations;
· Analyze monthly aging reports and help resolve outstanding items and discrepancies;
· Review and resolve bank reconciliations and journal entries as required;
· Assist in reconciling payments to suppliers;
· Review floor plan audits and reconciliation;
· Review intercompany balancing monthly;
· Use, develop, and maintain reporting in Microsoft Excel;
· Other accounting responsibilities that may arise.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· CPA designation required
· 5+ years experience in controllership or equivalent senior accounting role
· Experience managing full accounting functions and FS for multiple dealerships
· Ability to lead a team and drive success
· Knowledge of dealership management systems such as PBS, Reynolds & Reynolds, or CDK is an asset.
