Manager, Leasing
As Pier 4 continues to grow our multifamily residential portfolio, we are seeking a Manager, Leasing to lead a highperforming team of Leasing & Resident Experience Specialists. This role is ideal for a leader who is energized by building talent, elevating the resident experience, and driving consistent, bestinclass leasing performance.

Reporting to the Director, Property Management, the Manager, Leasing oversees the full leasing lifecycle, ensures operational excellence across all leasing activities, and partners closely with Property Management, Marketing, and Property Administration to support occupancy, retention, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Coaching Lead, mentor, and develop a team Leasing Specialists; provide daily coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing skills development.
- Leasing Performance Management Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and ensure consistent execution of Pier 4 leasing standards across all properties.
- Resident Experience Oversight Ensure every prospective and new resident receives a warm, professional, and seamless onboarding experience.
- PortfolioLevel Coordination Partner with Property Managers to align leasing activity with operational needs, suite readiness, and occupancy goals.
- Quality Assurance Conduct regular audits of leasing files, advertising accuracy, suite readiness, and compliance with policies and legislation.
- Market Intelligence Oversee weekly market surveys, competitive analysis, and pricing recommendations; ensure the team maintains uptodate knowledge of local market conditions.
- Advertising & Marketing Collaboration Work with Marketing to ensure all listings, social media campaigns, and thirdparty platforms are accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.
- Reporting & Insights Review weekly traffic reports, conversion metrics, and leasing activity; provide insights and recommendations to Property Management and Asset Management.
- Suite Readiness Oversight Ensure Leasing Specialists complete regular vacant suite inspections and maintain 100% Rent Ready standards in partnership with Maintenance and PM teams.
- Compliance & Documentation Ensure all leasing documentation, LMR/FMR collection, credit checks, reference checks, and tenancy agreements meet legal and company requirements.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration Work closely with Finance, Marketing, Maintenance, and Project Management to support smooth moveins, accurate reporting, and strong resident relationships.
- Issue Resolution & Support Provide guidance to Leasing Specialists on complex applications, escalations, and resident inquiries related to leasing policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of residential leasing or property management experience, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of leasing processes, residential tenancy legislation, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust with residents, team members, and crossfunctional partners.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and property management/leasing software.
