A growing consulting engineering firm in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in a leadership capacity. Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical building systems projects from early design through construction
Prepare and review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications
Take ownership of project delivery, including coordination with clients, architects, and other consultants
Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers and designers
Contribute to technical design, drafting review, and problem-solving across projects
Participate in client relationships and support business development efforts
Help guide project strategy and contribute to the firm's growth initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
P.Eng. designation in Ontario (or eligibility)
8+ years of experience in consulting engineering, ideally within building systems
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building system design
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with both technical and leadership responsibilities
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Interest in mentorship, leadership, and contributing to business growth
