We are seeking a Director Digital Services to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.
As the Director, Digital Services, you will provide forward-thinking leadership and direction for enterprise business system analysis and process management associated operational and production support practices. You will ensure alignment with the corporate strategic plan, inclusive of business changes and pension administration operational support services. These services include product/service management, business system analysis, functional design, data analysis, and business process management. As the Director, you will provide critical contributions to our enterprise transformation and be a trusted advisor to the Executive team and governance committees.

Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the flexibility to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. The requirement for on-campus presence is a minimum of 40% of your schedule in a month.
Additional requirements are determined by the role functions and operational needs of each business area.
Responsibilities
- Partners with business and technology leaders to build multi-year transformation roadmaps that align business strategy and solution delivery.
- Takes a holistic perspective that considers data, analytics, insights, and different parts of the business to lead the evolution and delivery of effective business analysis for projects and operations.
- Ensures business needs are clearly defined, well understood, and effectively translated into high-quality solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Establishes, defines, implements, and continuously improves standards, methodologies, and tools for business analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and production and operational support ensuring consistent application of best practices across initiatives and day to day operations.
- Drives service excellence and innovation by empowering employees to improve end-to-end business services, establishing branch standards, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Leads the implementation and delivery of effective business process management (BPM) services in support of our strategic plan to ensure processes are measurable, appropriately controlled, consistent and transparent, efficient and secure.
- Acts as a trusted advisor on business process improvement, solution design, and change impacts.
- Manages ongoing sustainment activities required to keep the systems current and business functioning.
- Builds and maintains collaborative stakeholder relationships to understand business needs and align the Corporation’s mandate, programs, and technology roadmaps to current and future requirements.
- Provides strong, effective, and visible leadership to the branch, motivating and inspiring staff to achieve Pension Corporation’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Develops and manages the branch operating budget and risk management plans, and leads workforce strategies to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent (capacity planning, recruitment, mentorship, succession).
Qualifications
Must have
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of ten years of demonstrated related experience in a regulated or complex environment (e.g., public sector, financial services, pension administration, healthcare) that includes the following:
- Experience leading a department/business unit including strategic and business planning, managing operations, budget and staff, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Experience leading large scale system design and implementation.
- Experience working with enterprise systems, digital platforms, and business transformation initiatives.
- Experience with change management, service design, or product management practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others and work in a changing environment.
- Proven client relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with achievement in the assessment, development and implementation of effective business improvements and cost-effective operations.
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to develop creative and strategically sound solutions in a changing environment and demonstrate excellent judgment.
- Knowledge in product/service management, business systems analysis, process management, and information management.
- Expertise in business analysis, testing, and production support techniques.
- Working knowledge of agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
