SmartSkin Technologies is looking for an Electronics Calibration Technician to join our growing team. This in-person position reports to our Fredericton office and is responsible for calibrating our hardware sensors and assisting with digital container twin assembly while following quality control protocols. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented and analytical problem solver with an understanding of electronic assembly processes who can thrive in a fast paced team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and calibrate sensors within SmartSkins digital container twin technology
- Make use of very fine motor skills and demonstrate attention to detail
- Basic use of electronic troubleshooting tools such as a multimeter
- Demonstrable hands on skills with electronic assembly
- Commitment to industrial standards and safety
- Follow proper procedures and endeavour to find ways to continuously improve processes in alignment with SmartSkins quality standards and Quality Policy
Qualifications:
- A post secondary technical diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, electronics technology, industrial engineering, manufacturing technologies, or a related discipline is an asset but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly related role or organization
- Ability to understand and follow technical documents and drawings
- Experience working with electronic components, circuitry, and soldering is an asset
- Experience working with and assembling small components
- Willingness to learn
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality standards is an asset
