Medical Receptionist – Requirements
Qualifications
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical clinic is preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Accuro, Telus PS Suite, or similar)
- Strong computer skills including scheduling systems and basic office software

- Friendly, patient, and compassionate approach in a busy pediatric setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage high call volumes and front-desk workflow efficiently
- Attention to detail with accurate data entry and documentation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families in a warm, professional manner
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and scheduling
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Register patients and update demographic and insurance information
- Maintain and manage electronic medical records (EMR)
- Process referrals, forms, and correspondence
- Coordinate with physicians and clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle billing, payments, and basic administrative duties
Additional Assets
- Experience working in a pediatric or family medicine clinic
