Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As the Commercial Real Estate Analyst, you will provide timely, accurate analysis of financial and business information to assess the risk of lending to new and existing Members. You will underwrite high‑quality credit applications, conduct annual reviews, draft letters of interest and renewal letters, prepare monthly construction draw reports, and deliver expert advice that supports strong credit quality, member experience, and Vancity’s commitment to social, environmental, and community impact. You will be a trusted partner to Account Managers, Risk Managers, and Manager, helping ensure informed lending decisions and responsible stewardship of member assets.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at the Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Commercial Banking Analysts. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Providing guidance and collaboration with Commercial Real Estate Account Managers to underwrite high‑quality new business credit applications
- Preparing and drafting new business letters of interest, loan amendments, renewal write‑ups, and renewal letters along with the preparation of monthly construction draw requests
- Working with the Manager, Commercial Real Estate and Risk Managers to ensure timely delivery of credit approvals
- Performing annual reviews of existing credit facilities to evaluate performance against covenants
- Monitoring and analyzing Commercial Real Estate accounts, loans, and deposits to mitigate AML/ATF risks
- Reviewing supporting documentation for new and existing accounts to ensure adherence to risk requirements
- Supporting CRE Production Team on additional duties as required
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Preference having a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Preference of 2–3 years of experience analyzing financial statements and assessing business credit risk
- Demonstrated ability to calculate, interpret, and summarize financial data accurately
- Experience working under pressure with competing deadlines
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a variety of partners
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Preference of having experience in commercial real estate lending
- Knowledge of AML/ATF regulatory requirements

What You’ll Earn:
The salary range for this role is $69,700 to $82,000 per annum. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
