Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
Are you a seasoned wealth management professional? Vancity is looking for a natural leader with a solid foundation track record of management, allowing for effective coaching and mentorship to be given to the team of Wealth Planners and Wealth Advisors. You will bring to the role a solid reputation in the industry; a platform from which you will build and maintain relationships, maintaining a strong referral network internally and externally. You will develop community and member relationships aligned with Vancity’s strategic objectives.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role and this role reports directly to the Director, Wealth Solutions. This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity branches in the Vancouver region and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Developing and executing strategies and the use of tools to enable delivery of quality investment and financial advice that meet members' needs, incorporating sustainable solutions to balance business opportunities and risk and drive profitable Sustainable Wealth Management (SWM) business growth
- Achieving AUM growth, net earnings and referral objectives for the wealth solutions business line aligned to Vancity Values and Vision
- Maintaining relationships with key partners to optimize service levels, investment knowledge and maximize earnings
- Building a team of increasingly capable direct reports, including moving talent where we need them when we need them and exercising agile and change leadership
- Continuously improving and innovating processes
- Travelling between branches to meet and coach advisors
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- A Certified Financial Planner designation
- Post secondary degree in business administration.
- 5-7 years of financial industry experience in any one of the following: commercial lending, investment banking, financial advisory, life insurance, wealth management, retail lending, retail banking
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Experience in Management of an IIROC or MFDA platform is asset.
- Former People Leadership experience
- Furthered training in Coaching and Training

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a starting salary of $108,500 to $127,700 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
