Job Description
As the Accounting Analyst at Honeycomb, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability of financial data within the organization. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that processes are followed and adhered to. You will serve as a technical resource within the team and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
What you’re responsible for:
- Entering financial data including sales, purchases, expenses, and other routine transactions.
- Performing monthly bank reconciliations and account monitoring activities.
- Reconciling and managing corporate credit cards.
- Preparing client invoicing, following up on payments, and issuing reminders as needed.
- Monitoring accounts payable and following up on outstanding balances.
- Preparing GST/QST returns, managing payroll and group insurance entries, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborating with other finance team members to ensure accurate and high-quality data.
- Participating in improving accounting processes and implementing internal controls.
Qualifications
To join our team:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- You have 2–5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- You have knowledge of the entire accounting cycle.
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- You have excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and demonstrate autonomy and initiative.
- You are bilingual in French and English
- You have a CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA, an asset
