SCADA Technician

The District of Squamish is seeking a skilled SCADA Technician to join our dedicated team and help maintain and enhance our municipal operations.
About the Role:
As a SCADA Technician, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems (hardware and software) used across our water, wastewater, and other infrastructure services. This is a hands-on role that plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential public utilities.
Who you are: You possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a safe driving record, graduation from a recognized technical school in the field of instrumentation, electrical technology or a related program, or possession of a related Trade qualification certificate such as a journeyman instrumentation mechanic. In addition, you have 2 years’ experience in electrical automation and SCADA systems maintenance and programming.

On top of our hourly rate - $48.33 this position is also eligible for comprehensive benefits, paid vacation and one of Canada’s top pension plans – the Municipal Pension Plan after 520 hours worked.
This is a Union position within the Collective Agreement of CUPE Local 2269 and the District of Squamish.
