Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Power Electronics Engineer with a strong foundation in power electronics and analog control systems design. This role is well‑suited to an engineer who enjoys hands‑on development work and thrives in a collaborative, product‑focused environment.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute across New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining Engineering, Advanced Engineering, and R&D while continuing to grow technical breadth and influence within the engineering organization.
Engineers with deeper experience will have opportunities to broaden technical influence and take on additional responsibility over time.
Specific Duties:
- Collaborate with Product Management and other engineers to develop engineering requirements and support feasibility assessments
- Contribute to project planning activities, including task definition, scheduling, and effort estimation
- Participate in all phases of Delta‑Q’s product development lifecycle, including:
- System‑level design and architecture support
- Detailed hardware design, analysis, and review
- Prototyping and hardware bring‑up
- Test plan development and execution
- Integration with software and mechanical designs
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and production readines
- Perform component, board, and system‑level debugging, validation, and integration testing in lab, manufacturing, and customer environments
- Support safety, compliance, EMI/EMC, and regulatory requirements applicable to power electronic products
- Take responsibility for assigned subsystems or design elements, ensuring performance, quality, and reliability targets are met
- Research, evaluate, and prototype components and technologies in support of Advanced Engineering and R&D initiatives
- Share knowledge and best practices with peers and support team learning through collaboration and technical discussion
- Apply sound engineering judgment to balance technical, schedule, and business constraints
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of hands‑on industry experience in power electronics design and development
- Experience with power electronics topologies, power semiconductor devices, gate drive design, magnetics, and control methods.
- Solid understanding of analog control systems; exposure to digital control is an asset
- Working knowledge of thermal management, PCB layout, and electro‑mechanical considerations for high‑power designs.
- Experience supporting safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory requirements for power electronic products.
- Experience contributing to multiple phases of product development, from concept through production.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with cross‑functional teams
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Comfortable working with evolving requirements and adapting designs as new information emerges.

Base Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 per year plus bonus.
The compensation offered will be determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
