Job Overview
Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, as the Regional Communications Business Partner you will develop, coordinate and manage all forms of communications for Southern Alberta in an effective and concise manner to build and uphold Qualico brand integrity.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Writing, coordinating and communicating for internal stakeholders, external media, and regional audiences as required.
- Assisting/leading in the planning and organization of promotions and events intended for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and brands to develop and implement communication strategies that effectively promote Qualico’s interests within the region.
- Developing communication strategies that leverage various websites, social media channels, press release and email marketing platforms that promote Qualico and our brands within the region.
- Consulting other regional stakeholders on how to address crisis communication as it relates to the news media and various social media channels.
- Scrutinizing and monitoring all communications or media for appropriate tone, consistency and quality.
- Contributing to the development and the ongoing management for Regional and IQ websites and other marketing/communication materials.
- Assisting in the drafting of non-promotional materials such as business proposals, formal letters, briefs, technical updates and other documents.
- Participating in industry and community events as well as boards and education opportunities to actively protect, advocate and promote Qualico’s brand.
- Serving as co-char of the social committee.
- Creating regional narratives by highlighting people, projects, partnerships, and community impact.
- Leading internal communications that strengthen employee connection, culture, and awareness across the region.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications and Commerce, or equivalent education & experience.
- Minimum 3 years of communications or marketing experience, preferably in Real Estate or Development industry.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient with website content management systems (WordPress, Sitefinity), digital marketing platforms (such as HubSpot), PR & Media monitoring (Cision), creative tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva and digital signage (Yodeck).
- Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Work Conditions
You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Travel to sites and work outside of regular business hours may be required. Overtime may occasionally be required.
