Summary of the role
We are looking to hire a Project Coordinator to join our research team led by Dr. Arun Radhakrishnan. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the program development and oversight of day-to-day operations, including project coordination, support and logistics, with some research responsibilities. The Project Coordinator will work directly with, and operate under the mentorship and guidance of the primary researcher, program manager and AMN team members based at Bruyère Health RI. This role will support the work in advancing AMNs across research institutes and other collaborators.
The Project Coordinator will work with a dynamic team focused on building Adaptive Mentorship Networks (AMNs) in Canada. The goal of the AMNs is to strengthen primary-care capacity to provide increased access to compassionate care for people living with chronic pain, mental illness, and substance use disorders. These networks will connect primary care clinicians through community-based mentorship that builds their capacity and wellbeing advancing equitable and compassionate care.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of Adaptive Mentorship Network (AMN) projects (coordination, research, etc.) under the oversight of Dr. Arun Radhakrishnan (investigator) with general supervision by the Program Manager and project team
- Coordinate logistics for AMN projects, including (but not limited to): plans for data collection and analysis, organizing and facilitating meetings, establish project schedules, timelines and resources
- Support the national and provincial team AMN teams, other research institutes and external partners/ collaborators
- Coordinate meetings with team members, manage calendars, and book project meetings
- Support the committee meetings by providing coordination of logistics, facilitating meetings, documenting minutes/action items, etc.
- Draft meeting agendas, take meeting minutes
- Assist with detailed planning, execution and monitoring of programmatic issues including (but not limited to): schedules, progress, coordination, deliverables, milestones, and contracts
- Assist with developing policies and documentation
- Responsible for some aspects of research, including organizing data collection and information and assisting in data analysis
- Provide support on the development and implementation of research and knowledge translation activities
- Correspond with external stakeholders, collaborators and investigators
- Work with investigator and team to ensure a timely drafting and submission of publications, presentations and grants
- Work with team to develop, implement and disseminate research and other projects
- Assist the team with recruitment of staff and students as required
- Provide guidance, supervision and support to staff and students as required
- Support project management of research projects and grant applications

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in health sciences or related field
- 2+ years of experience in health research or related field
- 2+ years’ relevant project coordination experience including areas such as project support and logistics
- Fluent in French and English, an asset
