WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Field Marketing Manager (Maternity Leave Contract – 1 Year)
The Field Marketing Manager leads fan-focused marketing initiatives for the National Bank Open, enhancing the fan experience while supporting business objectives. This role collaborates cross-functionally to execute on-site activations, manage partner integrations, and ensure brand consistency.
Fan Experience, Events & Sponsorship Activations
- Develop and execute fan experience strategies before and during the tournament.
- Lead on-site promotions, non-tennis activations, and major fan events, including Free Family Weekend and TennisFest Weekend.
- Collaborate on live match production content to create a dynamic on-site experience.
- Execute sponsor activations and support revenue-generating branded experiences.
- Continuously improve fan engagement initiatives using insights and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Brand Management
- Work closely with Operations, Partnerships, Food & Beverage, IT, Digital, and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure seamless execution and integration of all on-site initiatives.
- Oversee creative assets and signage while maintaining strong brand consistency across all tournament experiences.
Leadership, Planning & Operations
- Manage and mentor the Field Marketing Coordinator, marketing assistants, volunteers, and committee leads.
- Oversee the Toronto NBO marketing budget and support strategic planning initiatives.
- Contribute to post-event reporting and long-term marketing strategies.
Team Canada Events & Merchandise
- Lead marketing deliverables and fan engagement initiatives for Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup events.
- Oversee trophy celebration activations and marketing service contracts.
- Manage the merchandise program, including e-commerce operations, inventory, promotional planning, and retail activations.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing. (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in marketing or event management.
- Proven experience in event marketing, fan engagement, and on-site activations, ideally in the sports or entertainment industry.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
- Creative mindset with a passion for enhancing fan experiences and delivering innovative solutions.
- Experience managing budgets, teams, and external vendors.
