The Middlesex-London Health Unit has an exciting opportunity for one full-time End User Support Analyst to fill an existing vacancy on the Information Technology team in the Corporate Services division, at Citi Plaza, London, ON.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Supervisor, Information Technology, the End User Support Analyst will:
- Provide end-user technical support, troubleshooting and configuration for network capable devices including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, phones, tablets and printers on the secure wired and wireless network infrastructure for all MLHU offices;
- Refer/escalate problems to appropriate Information Technology staff analysts as required/appropriate;
- Manage incidents using the Help Desk incident management system;
- Develops and maintains technical documentation and written standards via the Information Technology online documentation platform and assists in development of training materials;
- Set up and install equipment including loading and configuration of software;
- Maintain user accounts in Active Directory/Microsoft 365 and configuration for all telecommunication devices and protocols;
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a two or three-year post-secondary diploma program in Computer Systems Technology.
- Minimum three years’ experience supporting an IT environment, including but not limited to: PC and service hardware, applications support, operating systems for PCs, internet technology and/or programming fundamentals and scripting for systems administration.
- Knowledge and experience equivalent to CompTIA A+ (Computer Technician), Network+ (Network Technician), ITIL Foundations, and specific Microsoft technologies required for the role including: Active Directory/Microsoft 365 cloud, DHCP, DNS, Exchange Mailbox Management, Endpoint Manager for Mobile Device Management (MDM), acquired or working knowledge of AOVPN, RBAC, VOIP phone system, O365 Security & Compliance,SCCM/Intune for PXE boot for imaging workstations
- Knowledge and experience supporting and troubleshooting TCP/IP, Ethernet and Wireless based networks.
- Strong problem solving, prioritization, and triaging skills required, for both IT hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical issues into plain, easy to understand language for non-technical users.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to interact empathetically with non-technical users, in a support role.
- Skills and knowledge to work with an increasingly diverse population, have knowledge of health and social inequities
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- The ability to communicate in French (written and verbal) and/or any other languages is highly desirable.
The salary rate for this position ranges from $28.24 to $35.30 hourly based on qualifications and experience.
