About the Role
Exciting Opportunity: Facilities Technician
Working closely with the Asset Care and Facility Projects teams, the Facilities Technician is responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks across the site. This role includes performing basic repairs, inspections, preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance activities. Responsibilities extend to some facility infrastructure, processing, and production equipment, and providing support on projects and assisting with facility upgrades as needed
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, lighting, doors, HVAC filters, small equipment)
- Inspecting and monitoring building systems and equipment
- Supporting planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Assisting with external contractors and emergency maintenance tasks
- Maintaining clean and organized work areas
- Completing maintenance records and reports using company software
- Following health and safety protocols and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Help manage facility inventory, tools and spare parts
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in facility or building maintenance (manufacturing or cannabis industry an asset)
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
- Ability to use tools, perform basic repairs, and assist tradespeople
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely
