Why Work Here?
The organization places safety as its top priority and fosters a respectful, collaborative, and family-oriented culture. Employees enjoy working in a clean, bright, and environmentally conscious facility with a diverse team and long-tenured staff, reflecting strong engagement and stability. The company is heavily focused on employee growth, offering apprenticeship opportunities, support for skill development, and reimbursement for education and schooling. There are clear paths for internal mobility, with examples of employees moving into other technical roles within the shop as their interests and capabilities grow. Compensation is complemented by good benefits, production-based incentive plans, and quarterly bonuses that can be substantial depending on overall plant performance. The workplace also values recognition and camaraderie, with team lunches, celebrations, and large BBQ events, as well as a comfortable lunchroom equipped with televisions to support breaks and downtime.
Work Environment
The role is based in an approximately 80,000 square foot, very clean industrial shop with an adjoining office area. The shop environment is split roughly half machine shop and half assembly, with machines positioned throughout the facility. The site includes three paint booths, an enclosed welding shop, a dedicated lunch room, and a training room, all designed to be bright and welcoming. The facility is environmentally conscious and maintains a clean atmosphere without the typical smells of a traditional machine shop. You will work directly with a lead and a supervisor, alongside a broader team that includes approximately 12–30 machinists and about 40 people in the shop overall, providing ample support and collaboration opportunities. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with one 30-minute break and one 15-minute break, allowing employees to leave 15 minutes early; after probation, there may be opportunities to work 6:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. or support after-hours or Saturday work as needed. There is potential for afternoon or 4x10 shifts in the future if business needs arise, though this is not mandatory. Personal protective equipment is required, including safety-toe work boots, while other necessary PPE is provided by the company. The dress code is typical for an industrial environment, emphasizing safety gear and practical workwear suitable for a machine and assembly shop.
