The Opportunity
The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for software development, coordinating project technical deliverables and deployments, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards. This role sets technical direction and provides mentorship to team members while partnering with Solution Architecture on new solutions and technology improvements.

How You Will Create An Impact
Coordinate project technical deliverables and deployments
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to team members
Partner with Solution Architect on new solutions and Proof of Concepts
Ensure best practices are communicated and followed through monitoring and review
Collaborate with stakeholders and architecture teams to drive technology improvements
What You Will Bring
Advanced knowledge of development in Microsoft Azure including but not limited to; experience with Azure Data Factory, Application Services, SQL Managed Instances, Databricks, Power BI and Azure DevOps
Experience with version control (Git) and ticketing tools (JIRA, DevOps)
Knowledge of automated testing practices and SDLC standards
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
10+ years of progressive experience in technology domains
Experience in P&C Insurance industry is an asset
Experience in leadership or mentorship capacity is an asset
