Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Sonographer to join our growing diagnostic imaging team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MSK ultrasound examinations and delivering excellent patient care in a professional clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound studies (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, foot, soft tissue, etc.)
- Accurately acquire diagnostic images and ensure proper documentation
- Review patient history and clinical information prior to examinations
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper infection control procedures are followed
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinic staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow PHIPA guidelines
- Ensure high standards of patient care and professionalism at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Registered with Sonography Canada (or eligible for registration)
- Proven experience performing MSK ultrasound examinations
- Strong knowledge of MSK anatomy and pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience with general ultrasound (abdomen, small parts, OB/GYN)
- Experience in a private clinic setting
- Bilingual (English/French)
