Nova Staffing is growing, and we're looking for a driven, energetic Staffing Recruiter to join our Halifax team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by helping both candidates and clients succeed.
What You'll Do
As a Staffing Recruiter, you'll play a key role in sourcing, screening, and placing candidates with our clients across a variety of industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Recruiting, sourcing, and screening qualified candidates
• Conducting interviews and reference checks
• Coordinating candidate onboarding and documentation
• Administering client-specific skills and compliance testing
• Matching candidates to client opportunities
• Scheduling and dispatching employees to client worksites
• Maintaining accurate employee records and databases
• Conducting attendance and performance follow-ups
• Supporting payroll and timesheet processing
• Building strong relationships with candidates and clients
• Assisting with business development and client retention initiatives
What We're Looking For
• Minimum 1 year of HR, recruitment, staffing, or related experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
