Role Description The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with specifications and quality standards. This contract role is based on-site in Ottawa, ON, and includes coordinating subcontractors, trades, and suppliers, as well as monitoring work progress and resolving issues that may arise during construction. The Site Supervisor will enforce health and safety regulations, conduct site inspections, and maintain accurate documentation such as site reports, logs, and progress records. The role involves communicating regularly with project managers, clients, and inspectors, ensuring that all work aligns with project plans, building codes, and company procedures.
Compensation $95,000.00 -$120,000.00 per year

- Strong site supervision experience in industrial, commercial, or institutional construction, preferably with pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices.
- Proven ability to coordinate trades, subcontractors, and suppliers, and to manage schedules, resources, and site logistics.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, including clear reporting and collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Proficiency with construction documentation, site reporting, and basic digital tools (e.g., email, project management or scheduling software).
- Experience enforcing health and safety programs and conducting regular site safety inspections.
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreperson, or similar role; trade certification or technical diploma in construction or engineering is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Ottawa, ON, including occasional extended hours as project demands require.
