We are an ever-growing financial services/ insurance firm that requires a full-time administrator/ marketing assistant/ in force client coordinator at our Halifax location. (North end of Halifax)
The MacLellan & Moffatt Group of companies has been in the insurance, group
benefits, and financial planning business since the late 70's. We have
different branches of the company handling different aspects of our business.
The role at our Halifax office will be to office manage/ assist in the growth of
our professional insurance business working almost exclusively with lawyers
throughout Nova Scotia. We are the exclusive advisors for Lawyer's Financial/
The Canadian Bar Insurance Association in the Province.
We work with every major insurance carrier in the country, experience with
Manulife or any of the major life insurance companies or wealth firms would be
an asset.
The role will be quite diverse and fast paced, with multiple duties including but
not limited to:
- Reception
- Administration of new and existing client’s wealth and insurance holdings
- Ordering medicals and processing of applications, handling existing client
policy changes
- Marketing to law firms- Arranging and facilitating seminars
Experience: Admin experience is necessary in a financial/ bank/insurance company/ legal
setting
Mutual fund license and or Life insurance license would be an asset. (LLQP/
Canadian Securities/ MFDA)

Salary will be commensurate with experience. Base salary will make up the majority of
the compensation; however, commission incentives & bonuses will be embedded
in the role ( on top of the listed salary).
$48k-$50k starting Salary, health benefits, retirement savings plan, flexible work hours.
(with the ability to increase this swiftly through bonuses and additional
