- Supporting employees: Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, user access, password resets, permissions and technology training.
- Keeping things organized: Maintain IT equipment inventories, software licenses, subscriptions, renewals, procedures and system records.
- Supporting municipal operations: Help maintain telephone and access control systems, Council chambers audio-visual equipment and departmental software applications.
- Making things better: Identify recurring issues, recommend practical improvements and assist with implementing approved technology changes.
- Working collaboratively: Build positive relationships with employees, Council, vendors and our managed IT service provider to ensure technology needs are addressed.

- Experience administering Microsoft 365 user accounts and licenses, including Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Entra ID.
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, Active Directory and networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi and VPN.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to explain technical concepts in plain language and work effectively with people who may not be particularly tech-savvy.
- A high degree of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and follow issues through to resolution.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and the ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
