Client Development Consultant
Remote| Independent Contractor | 100% Performance-Based | No Base Salary

Perhaps You’re Not Looking for Another Corporate Role

You’ve gained experience. You have integrity, know how to communicate with people, build relationships, solve problems, meet objectives and exceed your own expectations.

You may also have reached the point where you’re asking yourself a different question: Do I want the next chapter of my working life to look exactly like the last one?

This role may appeal to experienced professionals who have spent years in corporate environments and are ready to explore a different way of applying the skills they already have.

We operate within the education sector, working with an established international provider of personal and professional development programs, events and resources.

This is a self-directed independent contractor role for individuals who have experience in personal and leadership development and are comfortable taking responsibility for their own activity, development and results.

Important Compensation Information:

This is not a salaried employment position.

There is no base salary, hourly wage or guaranteed income.

Compensation is 100% performance-based and is directly related to individual results. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own activity and performance.

If you are specifically looking for a traditional salaried position with guaranteed compensation, this will not be the right fit.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your day-to-day activity will centre around communication, relationship development, marketing and professional conversations.

• Connect with prospective clients through professional and digital channels

• Respond to enquiries and conduct structured introductory conversations

• Ask questions, listen and understand individual goals and circumstances

• Introduce relevant educational programs and resources

• Develop and implement online marketing activities

• Build and maintain professional relationships

• Follow up consistently with prospective clients

• Work within established systems and processes

• Participate in ongoing training, mentoring and professional development

• Manage your own schedule, priorities and activity

• Take responsibility for your own performance and outcomes

Who We’re Looking For:

You may have spent a significant part of your career in sales or business development, account or relationship management, customer or client experience, leadership or management, marketing, learning and development, professional services, or other corporate or commercially focused environments.

You are likely someone who:

• Builds relationships naturally and professionally

• Communicates clearly and listens well

• Follows through consistently

• Is goal-oriented and comfortable working towards measurable outcomes

• Has a strong and dependable work ethic

• Can work independently without needing constant supervision

• Takes responsibility rather than waiting to be told what to do

• Is comfortable learning and applying new systems

• Values integrity and genuine human connection

• Understands that worthwhile results require consistent effort over time

Why This May Appeal to an Experienced Professional:

Perhaps you have been in the same role, organisation or industry for some time.

You may still be good at what you do — very good, in fact — but that doesn’t necessarily mean you want to keep doing exactly the same thing indefinitely.

You may be looking for greater autonomy. You may want to develop new skills without discarding the experience you have already earned. Or perhaps you have simply reached the point where another promotion, another title or another year doing the same thing no longer feels like the only option.

Your experience still has value. The question is where you want to apply it.

What You’ll Have Access To:

• Structured onboarding

• Comprehensive training

• Established business and marketing systems

• Digital tools and resources

• Ongoing mentoring and support

• Professional and personal development education

• Regular training sessions

• An internationally connected professional environment

• A flexible, remote working structure

You will have full access to systems, training and support while managing a self-directed environment.

Your results will depend on your own activity, consistency, skills and application.

A Different Kind of Working Environment:

For some people, the traditional corporate structure works perfectly well. For others, there comes a point when they begin wondering whether the skills they have developed could be used differently.

This may be explored alongside an existing career or as part of a longer-term professional transition, depending on your circumstances. Either way, this requires initiative, consistency and a willingness to learn.

This probably isn’t for you if you are looking for:

• A fixed salary or hourly wage

• Guaranteed earnings

• A conventional employee/employer arrangement

• Someone else to manage your daily activity

• Results without consistent effort

• A passive source of income

It May Be Worth a Conversation If:

You are an experienced professional who has built strong communication and relationship skills, has a consistent work ethic and is comfortable being accountable for your own results.

You may not be looking to throw away everything you have built. You may simply be ready to use it differently.

If that sounds familiar, apply now. Note: if shortlisted, there will be a short initial discussion for us to learn more about you and for you to understand the role to see if we have a potential fit.
