Main Responsibilities:

Major responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Ocean Import and air import freight operations, including booking, e-manifest, tracking, delivery, billing, closing, resolving disputes, managing profit & loss, maintaining customer/agent spreadsheets
Ocean Export freight operations – as needed

Other tasks and duties assigned from time to time by the Manager
Interact and work with remote freight teams daily
Stay abreast current and upcoming regulations
Maintain excellent relations with clients and agent, develop relationships, cross sell services, follow-up on potential opportunities to add value.

Main Requirements:

At least 3 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry
Excellent working knowledge of export and import air and ocean freight movements
CIFFA certified is an asset
Knowledge of Steamship line and NVOCC contracts and other online pricing tools - asset
Proficiency with computers is a must; advanced knowledge of Excel
Solid communication skills (French written and verbal are assets)
Strong organization skills and is detailed oriented
Must be a pro-active and solutions-focused team player
Ability to prioritize time effectively
Energetic, pro-active, and keen learner
Proven teamwork skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
