Salary : Base between $65,000 and $80,000

Functions :

Analyze project plans – Read architectural/design drawings, take measurements, calculate angles, areas, and volumes.
Prepare cost estimates – Determine costs for materials, labor, subcontractors, installation, and delivery; prepare budget proposals.
Create technical drawings – Use AutoCAD to produce production plans and technical drawings for manufacturing.
Coordinate with stakeholders – Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and occasionally clients; negotiate pricing and track requests.
Manage project costs – Monitor budgets, anticipate expenses, compare supplier bids, and ensure technical feasibility.
Handle large/multi-unit projects – Prepare estimates and bids for large-scale residential projects (multi-unit buildings, kitchens & bathrooms).

Requirements :

Work in hybrid settings – Split time between office, home, and project sites as required.
Production drawing experience
AutoCAD proficient
Knowledge of estimating tools
Microsoft Office expert

Development vs Maintenance : N/A

Languages : Bilingual (French and English) required

Education : College Diploma or Technical Program.

Training : On-the-job onboarding and training

Years of experience: 5+ years of experience as an estimator, ideally within construction, cabinetry, or interior finish projects.
