TIAC is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who is eager to contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven organization while continuing to build their career in finance.

The Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, including reconciliations, journal entries, payables and receivables, month-end close support, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
Complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
Help prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis
Support payroll processing and related reconciliations as required
Coordinate documentation and schedules for audits and compliance reviews
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and organizational policies
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve financial processes and workflows
Provide additional support to the finance team as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA required
2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Assets

Experience working in a non-profit, association, or member-based organization
Familiarity with audit preparation
Experience supporting process improvements and strengthening internal controls

This position is newly created at TIAC and offers a base salary range of $65,000-$75,000.
