Why this role is important? We are hiring a Director, Health Outcomes & Evaluation. Reporting to the Senior Director, Healthcare Strategy & Analytics, the Director will play a pivotal role in driving positive change in our healthcare delivery through data-driven insights. The Director is responsible for designing and implementing robust evaluation frameworks, applying evidence-based methodologies to assess the quality of our health programs and interventions, and generating actionable insights to enhance patient outcomes, optimize care delivery, and inform strategic decision-making. About you: You are a dynamic and experienced healthcare professional with an established track record leading systematic evaluations of health programs, interventions, and services beginning with the collection of robust data. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment cultivating strong relationships and partnerships to achieve success. What You’ll Do: Develop and oversee comprehensive and pragmatic health outcomes evaluation frameworks that set the standard for assessing the quality of health programs and interventions Work collaboratively to seamlessly integrate health outcomes data into program development initiatives and healthcare strategy Guide the collection, analysis, and reporting processes to effectively track the impact of health interventions, contributing to data-driven decision-making Stay up to date with healthcare evaluation trends/ advancements to incorporate best practice into methodologies Use superior PowerPoint and written communication skills to develop clear and captivating presentations, studies, and reports for senior leadership, cross-functional team members and potential external audiences. What You’ll Need: University degree with a concentration in health sciences, public health, health administration, or similar program; Advanced degree is an asset 7+ years of experience in the healthcare sector with a proven track record of successes in program evaluation; Consulting experience is an asset Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent PowerPoint skills Demonstrated excellence driving analytics including applying advanced Excel and database querying (e.g., SQL) Ability to be proactive on deliverables Ability to lead and manage projects cross-functionally Knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks and the dynamics of the Canadian healthcare ecosystem Demonstrated problem-solving skills, combined with highly refined communication and interpersonal skills Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
