Armour Transportation is looking for a
Cash Application Specialist based out of our
Moncton, NB or
Dartmouth, NS location.
The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient application of customer payments. This role involves managing the transfer of data between the sub-ledger and cash application processes, validating remittance information, and resolving unmatched transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm
Key Responsibilities
- Apply cash payments daily and ensure seamless data transfer between the sub-ledger and cash application processes.
- Validate that daily remittance information is processed and transferred to the cash application program.
- Ensure all deposits are accurately transferred to the cash application program.
- Process fully allocated and verified deposits.
- For deposits not fully allocated:
- Apply secondary matching processes.
- Escalate open or unmatched items to the appropriate group and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Post journal entry data from the cash application to the sub-ledger.
- Apply and post non-trade deposits, such as benefits payments, scrap revenue, and miscellaneous sales documents, to ensure accurate payment application.
Qualifications And Experience
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
