Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Operations, the scope of this role is to assist, plan, implement, and help oversee pharmacy operations through building strong relationships, coordinating regular communication, direct management, and overall quality assurance throughout the region. This is a permanent, full time opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional
How You Will Make An Impact
- Building strong relationships between the Pharmacy Operations, Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacies, and other business units and stakeholders;
- Management, coaching, and mentoring of Pharmacy Managers, and other direct reports including coordinating training and development
- Coordinating and implementing Operational Excellence including improving processes, enhancing productivity, and increasing profitability while handling multiple projects concurrently
- Ensure Pharmacy team members are in compliance with policies and procedures
- Assist in leading the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of internal programs, policies and procedures, and technology;
- Ensure Pharmacies are equipped to meet current service level requirements and that pharmacies can implement new policies and procedures in a timely manner
- Collaborate with HR to actively build and manage talent, addressing underperforming employees, and participating in the recruitment process through interviews and identifying suitable candidates;
- Coordinate educational opportunities for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
- Supports the development of the pharmacy budget to ensure sound fiscal management of resources and implementation of strategies that support our organizational values and business goals
- Promote working relationships with provincial pharmacy Colleges and pharmacy association groups.
- Monitor and collaborate with BioScript Pharmacy teams to share insights about the competitive landscape
- Regularly monitor and review projections, performance metrics, and critical financial metrics with pharmacy managers to ensure success
What You’ll Bring To Our Team
- Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy (or equivalent);
- A minimum of 3 years of pharmacy leadership/management experience;
- Superior interpersonal and collaborative skills and excellent spoken and written communication skills;
- Proven leadership, conflict management, motivational and team building skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
- Demonstrated skills in relationship building and influencing to achieve results;
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging and changing work environment;
- Understanding of systems implementation and an ability to monitor and manage best practices;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Able to manage files and issues across multiple locations while effectively budgeting time;
- A desire and ability to use technology to promote and improve managerial and operational efficiency.
- A bias for action to improve existing routines or processes by thinking outside the box
- Regular travel is required, often requiring overnight stay;
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (Email), and Word.
