Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Engagement and Events Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in planning and executing impactful fundraising events while fostering meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination:
· Plan, organize, and execute major fundraising events, ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
· Develop event budgets, track expenses, and prepare post-event impact reports.
· Coordinate logistics, including venues, permits, sponsorships, and volunteer support.
· Design engaging, well-branded events that attract participants and donors.
· Build relationships with corporate sponsors, in-kind donors, and event participants to maximize event success.
· Oversee event setup and teardown while ensuring professionalism and organization.
Community Engagement and Fund Development:
· Expand the donor base through corporate outreach, sponsorships, and individual donor engagement.
· Support donor stewardship efforts, including recognition initiatives and regular communication.
· Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities.
· Act as a liaison between BBBS and community stakeholders to promote events and fundraising initiatives.
Marketing and Communications:
· Lead event-related marketing campaigns across social media, email, and traditional media.
· Develop compelling promotional materials consistent with BBBS branding.
· Maintain consistent communication with local media to promote events and campaigns.
· Monitor engagement metrics and adjust campaigns to optimize outreach efforts.
Administrative and Collaborative Support:
· Maintain accurate records in donor management systems (CRM) to track sponsorships, donations, and event data.
· Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the strategic planning of fundraising activities.
· Provide logistical and administrative support for donor recognition and stewardship events.
Qualifications
· Post-secondary education (University Degree or College Diploma) in business, marketing, fundraising, communications, or a related field.
· Experience in event coordination, fundraising, or donor relations is an asset but not mandatory. Internship or volunteer experience is encouraged.
· Strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills, with the ability to write clear and engaging messages.
· Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs.
· Creativity and a growth mindset, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
· Confident yet humble, with a "we over me" mentality.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Familiarity with Canva, donor management systems (CRM), and Zoom is an asset.
· Comfortable using social media platforms to drive engagement.
· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during major event periods.
· Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
· Willingness to undergo a criminal record check with a Vulnerable Sector Screen.
· Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset and highly valued but not mandatory.
