Position Overview
The
Director of Business Development will be a key driver in expanding our client company’s sales initiatives across the nation. This role focuses on strategic leadership, team development, and achieving ambitious sales goals to enhance market presence and profitability. Based in the South Charlotte metro area, this full-time, in-office position requires occasional local and overnight travel (~25%).

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning: Design and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed company goals and drive market growth.
- Profitability Oversight: Monitor profit/loss performance and analyze market trends to sustain a competitive edge.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring their success through coaching and evaluation.
- Market Growth: Lead efforts to expand into new markets, manage territories, and develop additional sales channels.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong client relationships while actively participating in key negotiations and deal closures.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and budgetary goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Produce and analyze sales performance reports, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications And Experience Required
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of sales management experience leading teams of 25-50 across multi-state or regional territories.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven B2B sales expertise.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to train and develop high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Compensation And Benefits
- Compensation:
- Competitive base salary starting in the high $100Ks DOE, paid weekly.
- Aggressive incentive plan offering 75-100% of base salary.
