Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analyst/Associate to join our team. As an Analyst/Associate, you will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, evaluating financial data, and providing insights to support investment decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our investment strategies and gain exposure to all stages of private equity investing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with investment bankers, intermediaries, industry experts, and management teams to source investment opportunities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models (including LBO models) to analyze the financial performance and projections of potential opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including reviewing historical financials, projecting future cash flows, and performing sensitivity analyses
- Assist in assessing the value of companies and determining the appropriate capital structure for investments
- Perform detailed due diligence, including market research, competitive analysis, and operational assessments
- Assist in the structuring and execution of investment transactions, including preparation of investment memos and presentations to support the decision-making process
- Present findings and recommendations to senior team members, including Managing Partner and Principal
- Support the monitoring and management of portfolio companies, including performance tracking and strategic initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and financial concepts
- Work directly with Riveria operating partners to analyze, structure, and negotiate proprietary investment opportunities
Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, with proficiency in valuation techniques (LBO, DCF, and other valuation techniques)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong and thorough attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance or related field.
