Summary/Objective
The Data Analyst collects, processes, and analyzes data to support business decision-making. This role involves working with large datasets, identifying trends, and delivering insights through reports and dashboards. The Data Analyst will require proficiency in SQL and Excel, with Python being preferred for advanced data analysis and automation.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Perform data analysis and visualization using Excel and Python (preferred).
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business strategies.
- Prepare and present reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and objectives.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular quality checks.
- Assist in the development of data models and automation scripts.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility or direct reports.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Preferred experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
This role requires sitting or standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
