FHA Loan Processor
The Processor will assist in collecting, reviewing, and preparing loan documents for multifamily and healthcare FHA HUD mortgages for properties across the Unites States.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Collect and review loan documents to ensure accuracy
• Maintain deal checklists to accurately reflect documentation received from deal participants
• Prepare HUD forms for submission to all parties involved in transaction
• Ensure completeness, quality and correctness of mortgage loan documentation
• Maintain processing checklist and update as documents are received
• Compile the loan application for underwriting review
• Prepare and review loan application and obtain additional information as needed
• Effectively provide professional internal and external communication, whether written or verbal.
• Continue to stay abreast of processing, underwriting and compliance guidelines
• Update all involved after new documents are uploaded or status changes occur
• Provide follow-up on a consistent basis with originators, borrowers, and others involved in the transaction to complete processing
• Order credit reports as needed
• Assist Analysts in writing sections of the Mortgage Credit narrative
• Perform internet and government searches on all parties involved in each transaction
• Build rapport with our internal and external customers
Skills / Experience Requirements
• 1-3 years of experience preferably in loan processing real estate finance
• Highly developed critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems with limited resources or oversight
• Must be highly organized
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to question when something appears to be incorrect
• Ability to multitask while maintaining organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Costar is a plus
• High integrity, entrepreneurial drive, and intellectual curiosity are a must
