CRIEC is seeking an accomplished and mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership, oversees operations and program delivery, ensures financial sustainability, and fosters a culture grounded in respect, inclusion, and belonging.
Key Responsibilities
• Advance CRIEC’s mission through strategic planning, organizational leadership, and ongoing program evaluation.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality delivery of mentoring, employment support, and client-focused services.
• Lead financial management, budgeting, fundraising, grant development, and social enterprise initiatives to strengthen sustainability.
• Build strong relationships with employers, community partners, funders, government, and media as CRIEC’s primary spokesperson.
• Support effective governance, working closely with the Board and its committees.
• Champion a culture of coaching, mentorship, and continuous learning across the organization.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate brings 5–10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in the non-profit, immigrant-serving, workforce development, or related sectors. They demonstrate strength in operations, finance, people leadership, and partnership development, along with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of Calgary’s labour market and the barriers facing immigrants is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is an asset.
