What you'll bring...
Current 3rd year 310T apprentice.
- Valid class “G” driver’s license for the Province of Ontario, with a clean driver’s abstract.
Be able to work individually, in a team, and with minimal supervision at times.
Basic proficiency with computer use.
Experience in the use of engine diagnostic software is an asset.
- Good reading, verbal, and written English skills.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Extensive knowledge in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, power trains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Experience with all makes of heavy trucks is an asset.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
What you'll Do...
Assist with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing engines, transmissions, and drive systems.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
Inspect and repair brakes, steering, suspension, and chassis components.
Assist in tire maintenance, alignment, and balancing.
Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, organized condition.
Diagnose and repair 12V/24V electrical circuits, wiring harnesses, and connectors.
Assist with troubleshooting ECM/TCM and other onboard computer systems.
Work with sensors, actuators, and CAN bus communication faults.
Test and repair lighting systems, ABS, traction control, and other electronic components.
Assist with repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems (lifts, steering, brakes).
Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, organized condition.
Job Details:
- 3-Month contract position
Full-time - 40 hours per week
Regular weekday hours are 7:30-4:30 Monday to Friday.
Based out of our Markham location on Woodbine Ave.
