Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for highway maintenance and infrastructure projects, including bridge and pavement marking operations
- Develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate goals and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with contract obligations and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and industry stakeholders
- Lead the development and implementation of seasonal operational plans
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to OH&S regulations and internal safety protocols
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession strategies
- Oversee capital planning, equipment utilization, and facility maintenance
- Represent the organization at industry events, community engagements, and stakeholder meetings
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in highway maintenance, heavy civil construction, or a related field
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and foster a strong internal culture
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and operational planning
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- In-depth knowledge of highway maintenance practices, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols
- Experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure projects and contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems such as GPS/AVLS and ERP platforms
- Familiarity with provincial highway maintenance and P3 contracts is a strong asset
- Understanding of employment legislation and experience in managing compliance
