Role Overview:
- This is a true leadership position where you will own a portfolio of high-visibility, multi-million-dollar strategic programs while directly managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers.
- You’ll be the strategic partner to executive stakeholders, drive best-in-class governance, and play a pivotal role in evolving the bank’s delivery practices across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs ($5M+ budgets, multi-year horizons)
- Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers (hiring, onboarding, performance, career growth)
- Partner with C-suite and senior leaders to define scope, secure buy-in, and deliver measurable business value
- Own financial management: budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis
- Champion change management and organizational transformation initiatives
- Continuously enhance EPMO methodologies, tools, and talent practices
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7+ years progressive Project Management experience + 3+ years directly managing PMs
- Proven success delivering large-scale projects in financial services (banking/wealth/insurance)
- Strong financial acumen (budgeting >$5M, forecasting, variance reporting)
- Deep expertise in change management and stakeholder influence at executive level
- Experience in matrixed environments , vendor management, and hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and people-development skills
- Advanced MS Project Online , Excel, PowerPoint
Highly Desired:
- PMP certification
- Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or higher)
- Bilingual English/French (big plus for Toronto)
