Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is seeking an energetic individual with a passion for outdoor recreation to join our Accounting team.
Your Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing accounts payable invoices and resolving discrepancies
- Issuing payments within company guidelines including weekly cheque runs and on demand payments
- Vendor communication and statement reconciliation
- Communicate with resorts questions, variances or concerns on invoices/accounts
- Approval for Expenditure form tracking, numbering and reporting
- Work with and build a strong relationship with other departments to facilitate AP information exchange
- Working with team members to ensure accurate data entry and that all deadlines are met
- Miscellaneous bookkeeping duties
- Processing expense reports which includes ensuring verification of receipts, confirming authorization, coding and data entry
- Vendor statement reconciliation and maintenance of vendor files
- Miscellaneous filing and job-related duties as assigned
- Cross training within AP and other accounting areas to assist with vacation coverage
You
- Are enthusiastic and passionate for skiing and outdoor adventure
- Possess excellent time-management, organization and multi-tasking skills
- Maintain the ability to work well under pressure
- Must be able to work both independently and with a team
- Are proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate a pleasant and professional demeanor
Required Experience
- Certificate or diploma in accounting, business, or other related area
- 1-2 years experience in accounts payable
- Self-starter with ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Knowledge of ACCPAC will be an asset
- Previous bookkeeping experience will be an asset
