The Site Superintendent is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of single-family home construction sites. This includes supervising subcontractors, maintaining schedules, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations, and delivering high-quality homes on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction from foundation to final inspection.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
- Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure construction meets architectural plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Conduct regular quality control checks and address deficiencies.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, trades, and homeowners.
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Resolve on-site issues and make decisions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably in single-family homes.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and timelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, BuildPro).
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fall Protection).
