Job Title: SharePoint Developer / Migration Specialist
Location: 21 College Street Toronto (onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 Months with 1 year extension
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Create functional and technical specifications for system development.
- Analyze requirements and assist the project team with solution and technical design.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with OPS standards.
- Participate in coding and development of migration components (UI, data services, synchronization, deployment).
- Design, develop, test, and deploy SharePoint solutions using Microsoft development tools.
- Create code modules, scripts, and system components.
- Develop documentation for testing, implementation, and defect tracking.
- Configure outputs from design sessions and participate in JAD walkthroughs.
- Conduct unit/system/integration testing.
- Prepare install packages and deployment plans.
- Provide estimates for assigned tasks and maintain progress reporting.
- Transfer knowledge to internal staff throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver presentations, briefing notes, and status reports as required.
Mandatory Skills
- 10 years of experience with MS SharePoint 2013 & SharePoint Online
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- 10 + Years of experience with .NET development experience
- Azure Logic Apps workflows
- Power Apps & Power Automate
- ShareGate migration tool experience
- XML, MS Web Services
- SharePoint Webparts (e.g., KWIZcom)
- Strong programming and analysis experience
- Familiarity with structured development methodologies
Desired Skills
- SharePoint migration experience (SP 2010/2013/Online)
- PowerShell scripting
- Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET
- RDMS and SQL queries
- Accessibility compliance (AODA)
Knowledge Transfer
- Ongoing throughout the contract via meetings, documentation, and job shadowing.
- Transfer all design, coding, and testing knowledge to internal staff.
